The other day it got real busy around the ol’ house here.  Mom came for a short visit, and while she was here Jim and Shelly showed up.  Then later that evening Matt, Toni, and Anna came over for their first visit to the new house.

The place instantly met with Matt’s approval.  Being an old house, and definitely looking the part, there were lots of things here that reminded him of his grandparents’ house when he was younger.    I took them on the whole tour, checking out each room and laughing about the old fashioned or just plain weird things that we would come across in each one.

But as I suspected…  and this is the same for me…  their favorite place in the house was downstairs by the fire.  It’s hard to argue against a room with two comfy couches, several chairs, a warm fire, cable on the HDTV, and a big mirror table to prop your feet up on.  Matt said that I’m going to have a new roommate on the weekends once football season rolls around again. 

Then after they left, Jim came back over for a while after he and Shelly went to the “Fun Barn” outside of Nelsonville.  I’m gonna have to see if I can scrounge someone up to go see a movie with me out there, and play a few games.
