Meds screwed with me again, meaning I took an involuntary nap in the evening yesterday, leaving me awake all night until about 5am.
However, rather than just wasting that time, I started work on the basement.
I started by cleaning off one of the big tables down there, getting rid of all sorts of various useless things that were stored there for some reason.
This cleared up a lot of room for not only the storage of my stuff, but also the storage of various other things from the house that I don’t want “out” but also don’t want to throw away or donate to a thrift store quite yet.
After that I rolled up all the area rugs down there, swept the entire floor, and started prepping the area in front of the fireplace for a revamp. It already had a nice “living area” set up, but I’m gonna figure out how to add my old loveseat to it, as well as the big mirror coffee table I got the other day.
While I’ve got everything pretty much figured out in my head, actually getting it done is another story. Moving heavy crap isn’t as easy for me as it was before my neck injury, so I’ve gotta do little bits at a time. And between having the fire going and taking my evening batch of meds around midnight, I kinda crapped out about half-way through the process.
So despite knowing that it will look good when I’m done, right now it just looks tore up.
So my little “man cave” is gettin’ there… probably a couple more days of screwing around with the furniture down there and I’ll have it how I want it.
