Had a good trip to Columbus yesterday. I had looked at the auction preview and it looked like there was a few things I might be interested in, so I figured that I’d go ahead and go despite the cold weather.
However when I got there, whatever it was that I thought that I saw in the online preview… yeah, I just didn’t see it.
But it was still good that I went because I got two pieces of artwork for the house. A really big print for ten bucks, and then a smaller one for three. It’ll be nice to swap out the pictures in this house for some new ones, just to make the place look different.
I was also able to continue adding things to my “eBay pile” in the basement. There was a stack of 8 or 9 yearbooks. I think there are a couple high school ones, a couple college ones, and then I think there was a military one too. I got the whole stack for $25, which isn’t bad since I can usually get $10 a piece for yearbooks when I list them on eBay.
I made a quick trip to a thrift store before the auction, and I picked up a Casio EV-660 portable color TV for six bucks. It’s weird… there aren’t any listed on eBay right now. Usually that’s a good thing, meaning they are fairly rare, but it’s hard for me to imagine that there weren’t a ton of these things produced. Regardless, I’m sure I’ll be able to get more than I paid for it.
