I’ve still got plumbing issues to work on here around the house, so unfortunately I haven’t been able to hook up my washer yet.  That means that yesterday I got to spend the afternoon at one of the laundromats in town.    Yay.

Not exactly the most uplifting place to spend your day, that’s for sure.    A place where everyone wishes they didn’t have to be, doing tasks that they wish they didn’t have to do, spending money they wish they didn’t have to spend.

It actually wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be though.  There were few enough people in there that we didn’t have to be bumping up against each other as we ran our loads, and since the place is right next to Odd Lots I was able to go over there and do some looking around while my stuff was running.

The lady that was working in there was very nice.  I haven’t been to a laundromat more than a couple times before, so I had to ask her a couple questions about the different machines…  and while she could have been like, “You dumb shit, it’s a washing machine.  What is there to know?” she very politely and happily answered my questions.  Questions she probably gets asked way more than she’d like.
